Privacy and cookies
This statement describes which personal data Wicoda processes through this website, why we do so and how long the data is kept.

1. Data controller
Wicoda is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this statement. You can raise privacy questions at info@wicoda.nl.
2. Which data we process
- Contact form. Name, company name, email address, phone number, subject and the content of your message. We use this data solely to answer your question.
- Account data. If you use an account on this site, we process your email address and an encrypted representation of your password so that you can sign in.
- Technical data. Our server keeps standard logs with IP address, timestamp and requested page, for security and troubleshooting.
3. Legal basis and retention
We process contact requests on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to questions. We keep these messages for at most 24 months, unless an agreement follows from them — in that case the statutory retention period of 7 years for accounting records applies. Server logs are kept for at most 30 days.
4. Cookies
This website sets functional cookies that are needed for it to work: a session cookie for the connection to the server, a cookie holding your language choice and, if you sign in, an authentication cookie. Those need no consent, because without them the site does not work.
We also use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. That only happens if you agree to it on your first visit. If you decline, or choose nothing, nothing is placed and nothing is sent — the site works exactly the same. Your choice is kept for a year; after that we ask again. You can change it at any time through the link at the bottom of every page.
There are no advertising cookies on this site and we do not share data with ad networks.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell data. We only share data with parties that are needed to run this site — such as our hosting and email provider — or where the law obliges us to. Data processing agreements are in place with those parties.
If you consent to statistics, Google Ireland Limited receives the pages you visit, your approximate location and details about your browser and device. Google acts as a processor in doing so. This may involve transferring data to countries outside the European Economic Area; Google relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for that. Without your consent nothing is sent to Google.
6. Security
Traffic to and from this website runs over HTTPS. Access to data is limited to staff who need it for their work. Passwords are only ever stored hashed.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw your consent and to object to the processing. Send your request to info@wicoda.nl; we respond within four weeks. If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
8. Changes
We update this statement whenever our services or the law require it. The date at the top of this page shows when the last change was made.
